Lucy is a born and bred Brisbane girl who grew up playing hockey, and still continues to play in the Brisbane Women's Hockey Competition for the East Tigers. She's recently taken up cycling socially, and loves it so much that she's now looking into doing it more competitively through racing and triathlons.
It's fair to say Lucy is a bit of a sports nut, and when you're doing this much exercise, there's only one other thing you could love — food! Whether it's cooking up a feast at home or heading out to one of her favourite restaurants (Julius, Prawnster & Libertine included), Lucy is a lover of good food, no matter where you find it.
Lucy graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry from the Queensland University of Technology. She always knew she wanted to be in health, but initially studied paramedics before realising it wasn't for her. A mentor suggested she try podiatry, and since then has never looked back. She's found a career that she truly enjoys where she can have a positive impact on her client's lives and get them back to living a life pain free.
Lucy is interested in all aspects of podiatry, and particularly with how cycling relates to podiatry. She believes cycling is an underserved
market and there are plenty of cyclists who need a podiatrist's help. She's currently researching how we can better serve the
cycling community and treat common cycling issues.
