Plantar fasciitis is a painful condition that is usually caused by repetitive strain to the plantar fascia, which is a long ligament located underneath the skin at the bottom of the foot. Shockwave therapy is commonly used to treat Plantar Fasciitis. It works by sending acoustic waves, through a handheld probe, to the area of injury. These energy waves produce micro-trauma which stimulates an immune response that encourages the affected tissue to heal.
Dry needling involves administrating very fine needles to penetrate the skin and hit trigger points within the foot. These trigger points are sometimes otherwise known as muscle knots. This treatment can help release the knots and encourage tissue healing in the affected area.
Though relatively new, PACT is FDA approved has quickly become popular as a safe and effective treatment for fungal nail infections. These infections happen when fungus grows on or under a nail. The treatment works by delivering a high beam of light to the affected area, this light destroys fungal cells and allows healthy cells to grow in their place.
Swift therapy is a hugely popular and effective treatment for eradicating warts. We can use this treatment on any warts below the elbows and is also suited for the elimination of plantar warts. Plantar warts occur on the feet and are highly contagious. Swift therapy delivers low dose microwave energy to the root of the wart, and encourages an immune reaction in the body to fight the HPV that creates warts.
Many different people have different problems with their foot alignment or their gait. Custom orthotics are shoe inserts that can help these problems to be corrected. Because they're custom each patient's specific issue is assessed and the shoe inserts are created to treat and fix it. Custom orthotics are commonly used to correct a condition called flat feet.
