Our Camp Hill Podiatrists Services

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a treatment where micro needles are inserted into a trigger point. A trigger point is often knowns as a "knot" in the muscles that can be painful and reduce mobility. These needles work to release the "knot", ease pain and improvement movement in the affected area. In podiatry, dry needling is often used to treat uncomfortable knots in the feet and lower limbs.

Shockwave therapy

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that's used to encourage the body to heal injured tissue. It works by delivering acoustic waves to an injured tissue via a handheld probe. This stimulates nerves, which reduces the feeling of pain. It also improves blood circulation which increases metabolic activity. As a result the body then works to repair the injured tissue and restore healthy function. Shockwave therapy is a popular treatment or plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, shin splint and calcifications of the tendons

PACT

Pact therapy is photodynamic therapy that's used to treat fungal nail infections. It's a safe and effective treatment that sends a beam of light, a photosensitive agent and oxygen into the affected area. This kills of the fungal infection without affecting the surrounding skin, cells or tissue.

Diabetic Foot Care

Our podiatrists are trained in assessing and treating foot problems that are related to diabetes. Due to inadequate blood supply, foot ulcers can occur as a complication of diabetes. Diabetic foot ulcers can be painful and extremely dangerous. If they are not treated correctly they can occasionally lead to the requirement of limb amputation. Our podiatrists are very familiar with the condition and are skilled in recognising and treating it.

Swift Therapy

Swift therapy is a highly effective microwave technology that eradicates the HPV virus that creates warts. At The Feet People, we can use it on any warts below the elbows but commonly used it to treat plantar warts. Plantar warts are highly contagious and usually occur on the feet. It works by sending a focused microwave signal to a predetermined depth to hit the root of the wart. This signal stimulates an immune system response that should eliminate the virus.

Custom Foot Orthotics

Custom orthotics are personally made foot inserts that help to correct gait problems and misalignments in the feet. When these issues aren't treated, they can lead to poor posture, pain all throughout the body and mobility problems. In order to create custom foot orthotics, our podiatrist will perform a biomechanical assessment of your foot and take digital 3-D scans. This will allow them to ensure that they are addressing your specific issue.

Foot Care

Our podiatrists are well versed in injury management and specific conditions. However, they are also experts in general podiatry and foot care. We offer our patients a range of foot care options for nail conditions, like ingrown or fungal toenails and common skin conditions like corns, callous, cracked heels, warts, psoriasis, and Athlete's foot.

Foot Care Products

Proper foot care can help patients avoid complications and reduce the need for frequent podiatry visits. We offer a wide variety of foot care products to help with footwear fitting such as The Well Heeled range, Callusan skin hydration, nail care and beauty products from Dr Remedy, anti-inflammatory products for tired achy muscles and joints like Fisiocrem, anti-fungal skin treatments.

Registered Practitioners

All of our practitioners are registered with the podiatry board of Australia which is administered by Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
