Our Clayfield Podiatrists Services

At The Feet People, we treat a wide range of different conditions that are linked to the foot and ankle. Below are some of the podiatry services we offer.

Swift Therapy

Swift Therapy is a relatively new and very safe treatment that's used on warts. Traditionally, warts were often 'frozen' off using dry ice, this can be painful, affect surrounding skin and have a low rate of effectiveness. Swift Therapy involves sending low-dose microwave energy through a probe to generate the body's immune system to fight off the HPV virus, which causes warts.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a treatment that applies acoustic wave pulsations directly to the skin in the area of concern. These waves encourage the tissues located around the injury to generate a healing response. Shockwave therapy can help with both pain management and with treatment.

Custom Orthotics

Poor posture, sore feet, ankle pain and trouble walking are all symptoms commonly associated with the misalignment of feet. Feet that aren't aligned properly are corrected through orthotic therapy, which involves an orthotic podiatrist developing custom-made shoe inserts. Our experienced team are specialists in creating orthotics that can correct a patient's individual issue.

Diabetic Foot Assessment

Diabetes can cause serious health complications, one of them being foot problems in the form of either diabetic neuropathy or diabetic ulcers. Both of these complications can have very dangerous consequences. If you have diabetes, it's a good idea to have a diabetic foot assessment undertaken, so that you can ensure you haven't developed either condition. If you have, then our experienced team working at our private practice can help work out a diabetic care plan with you during an appointment.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is the act of inserting tiny, micro needles into trigger points within the body to release tension and increase mobility. At The Feet People, we use dry needling on muscles from the lower limbs downwards. A session of dry needling can help with pain relief and increased mobility. Some chronic cases may require multiple sessions.

PACT

PACT therapy is used to eliminate fungal infections. It involves focussing a beam of high wavelength light on the fungus which works to kill the infected cells. The benefit of using PACT therapy is that it is very effective and the light won't negatively affect the healthy tissue surrounding the fungus.

Foot Care

We offer our patients a range of foot care options for nail conditions, like ingrown or fungal toenails and common skin conditions like warts, corns, callous, cracked heels, psoriasis, and Athletes foot.

Foot Care Products

After a podiatry appointment, it's important that you take care of your feet. We offer a wide variety of foot care products to help with footwear fitting such as The Well Heeled range, Callusan skin hydration, nail care and beauty products from Dr Remedy, anti-inflammatory products for tired achy muscles and joints like Fisiocrem, anti-fungal skin treatments.

Registered Practitioners

All of our practitioners are registered with the podiatry board of Australia which is administered by Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
