Foot or lower limb pain can range greatly from mild discomfort to a serious life-threatening health condition. If you've experienced a problem with your lower limbs or have foot issues, it's a good idea to have them looked at by a podiatrist, even if it's just something as simple as aching feet.

If you're in QLD and are looking for a local podiatrist, we can help. We have two conveniently located podiatry clinics in Brisbane located in close proximity to Hamilton - CBD (located 5 kms away) and Newmarket (located 4.7 kms away). Our podiatrists have decades of experience and can provide foot care, help with foot mobilisation techniques and treat and diagnose conditions.

Our fully qualified podiatrists also provide home visits in the Hamilton area. To book a home visit please call us on 1300 993 338.

Our Hamilton Podiatry Services

At The Feet People, we are a podiatry clinic that treats a wide range of different conditions that are linked to the foot and ankle. Below are some of the podiatry services we offer.

Diabetic Foot Assessment

Diabetes is a commonly known disease, however, it's lesser-known that diabetes can actually cause serious health problems in the feet. Diabetes can cause nerve damage and poor circulation, which can extend to the feet, resulting in diabetic ulcers. If these are left untreated, they can cause serious health issues and may, in extreme cases, require amputation. So, if you have diabetes and have pain in your feet, it's best to have it checked out at our podiatric practice.

Foot Care

We offer our patients a range of foot care options for nail conditions, like ingrown or fungal toenails and common skin conditions like cracked heels, warts, corns, callous, psoriasis, and Athletes foot.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is the act of inserting tiny needles into specific areas to trigger an immune response. When used in a podiatry clinic, the needles are inserted into trigger points in the feet or lower limbs, which can help release the pain and discomfort located in the area, as well as encourage the reparative process.

Shockwave therapy

When it comes to matters of the feet and lower limbs, shockwave therapy is commonly used to treat plantar fasciitis, epicondylitis, Achilles tendinitis and other tendon problems. The treatment works by sending energy waves to create micro trauma to tissues. The body's natural reaction to this microtrauma is to start a healing response. This healing response can help improve the condition and alleviate pain.

PACT

PACT therapy is a treatment that's used on fungal nail infections. It is a photodynamic therapy that works to kill the cells associated with the infection but doesn't affect the healthy surrounding tissue or cells.

Swift Therapy

Swift Therapy is used to treat warts. At The Feet People, we can use swift therapy on warts anywhere from the elbows down, however, it's a popular treatment for plantar warts. Plantar warts are very contagious and usually appear on the feet. Swift Therapy delivers microwave energy to treat the underlying HPV virus and stimulates an immune response in the body.

Custom Orthotics

Orthotics are used to correct foot problems with misalignment. When feet aren't aligned correctly, they can create pain throughout the body as well as mobility problems. The doctors at our private podiatry practice are trained in assessing patient's foot problems and creating custom orthotics to correct them.

Foot Care Products

Many people splurge on body creams but neglect their feet. Your feet need love too! We offer a wide variety of foot care products to help with footwear fitting such as The Well Heeled range, Callusan skin hydration, nail care and beauty products from Dr Remedy, anti-inflammatory products for tired achy muscles and joints like Fisiocrem, anti-fungal skin treatments.

Registered Practitioners

All of our practitioners are registered with the podiatry board of Australia which is administered by Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
