Our West End Podiatry Services

At The Feet People we treat a wide range of different conditions that are linked to the foot and ankle. Below are some of the podiatry services we offer.

Shockwave therapy

Shockwave therapy works by creating inflammation in an affected area which stimulates the body's natural reaction to heal the area. The therapy is done by administering energy acoustic waves on injured tissues. Shockwave therapy is extremely effective in helping with pain management and repairing tissues and cells.

PACT

PACT therapy works to eliminate fungal infections by using a light with photosensitive agents to attack the infection. Fungal infections are very common in the nail and usually occur on the big toenail. At The Feet People we are experienced in treating fungal nail infections through the use of PACT.

Swift Therapy

Swift Therapy is a modern and FDA-cleared treatment that's used to kill off warts. The therapy delivers low-dose microwave energy through a probe that's placed on the affected area. This energy stimulates an immune system response that works to kill ofF HPV, the virus that creates warts. At The Feet People our podiatry team is experienced in treating plantar warts or warts on the lower limb through the use of Swift therapy.

Custom Orthotics

Orthotics work to correct misalignment of feet that can cause mobility issues, foot and ankle pain and poor posture. Custom orthotics are shoe inserts that work by adjusting the foot to sit a certain way over an extended period of time. At The Feet People, we are experienced in foot care and creating custom orthotics to specifically treat a patient's foot problems.

Diabetic Foot Care

Diabetes can cause diabetic neuropathy, otherwise known as nerve damage, in the feet. It can also cause Diabetic ulcers which, if left untreated it can cause mobility issues and serious health complications. If you have diabetes, it's important to get checked out by a podiatrist to ensure that nerve damage in the feet is avoided, stopped, or treated.

Dry Needling

Dry needling can help tense and painful muscles by releasing muscle knots. Dry needling works by inserting tiny needles into trigger points that help the area loosen up. This can often result in pain relief as well as increased mobility. Sometimes relief can be immediately felt, and sometimes more chronic conditions take multiple sessions.

Foot Care

We offer our patients a range of foot care options for nail conditions, like ingrown or fungal toenails and common skin conditions like callous, corns, cracked heels, warts, psoriasis, and Athletes foot.

Foot Care Products

Taking care of your feet after your check-up is important, too! We offer a wide variety of foot care products to help with footwear fitting such as The Well Heeled range, Callusan skin hydration, nail care and beauty products from Dr Remedy, anti-inflammatory products for tired achy muscles and joints like Fisiocrem, anti-fungal skin treatments.

Registered Practitioners

All of our practitioners are registered with the podiatry board of Australia which is administered by Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
